380 pages, one night: how Tanmay, our AI growth employee, fixed what Google was skipping

A real story from one ZNOS brand: one instruction, a night of work, and what an AI employee does when nobody is watching.

Tanmay, the ZNOS AI growth employee

Quick answer Google Search Console had 380 pages of one ZNOS brand's store under "Crawled, currently not indexed", and a validation had already failed once. Tanmay, the brand's AI growth employee, got one instruction: fix what Search Console is flagging. Overnight it found the cause (near-identical, copy-paste product descriptions), wrote a unique opening for 73 product pages using only facts already on each page, fixed the theme code that was creating junk tracking URLs, added redirects for broken links and restarted validation. Google takes a few weeks to re-check, so the final count is still coming.

The problem: 380 pages Google had seen and skipped

"Crawled, currently not indexed" means Google visited a page and decided it was not worth keeping in its index. On a store, that usually means the pages look too similar to each other or to something else Google already has. For this brand, 380 store pages sat in that bucket, and a request to re-validate them had already failed once.

Fixing it by hand means opening page after page, guessing at the cause, and rewriting copy that nobody has time to rewrite. So the founder handed it to Tanmay with a single line: fix what Search Console is flagging.

What Tanmay did overnight

One night, four stepsTanmay · AI growth employee
DiagnoseFound that dozens of product pages shared near-identical, copy-paste descriptions, so Google skipped them.
RewriteWrote a unique opening for 73 product pages, using only facts already on each page, then checked all 73 were live.
RepairFixed the theme code that was creating junk tracking URLs and added redirects for broken links.
Re-validateRestarted validation in Search Console so Google re-checks the pages.
Every change was logged so a person could check it the next morning.

Two choices matter here. Tanmay only used facts already on each product page, so it could not invent claims about a product. And it checked that every rewritten page was actually live before calling the job done.

Tip: When you give an AI employee a fix-it job, give it the outcome ("fix what Search Console flags"), not a list of steps. Then ask it to show you the cause it found before you trust the fix.

What else Tanmay shipped in October

That night was one job in Tanmay's first full month running growth for the same brand. From the October monthly report:

  • 42 blog posts published across the brand's two sites.
  • Blog clicks from Google went from 32 to 142 (4.4x) and blog impressions from 3.8K to 17.0K, comparing the last 28 days of October with the 28 days before.
  • Titles and meta descriptions rewritten on 188 URLs in one pass, with the result to be measured 28 days later.
  • 25 live backlinks tracked in the link ledger.

Not every bet worked, and the report says so. Paid nofollow link placements showed no measurable effect, so Tanmay recommended stopping them. That is the part we like most: an AI employee that reports what failed, not only what worked.

That's my AI employee of the month.

Where the human stays in charge

Tanmay drafts, researches and fixes on its own. Anything published under the founder's name still waits for the founder's approval of that exact content. The rule is simple: the AI employee does the work, and a person signs off on what speaks for the brand.

Key takeaways
  • 380 store pages were stuck in "Crawled, currently not indexed"; the cause was copy-paste product descriptions.
  • One instruction was enough for Tanmay to diagnose, rewrite 73 pages, fix theme code, add redirects and restart validation overnight.
  • Google's re-check takes weeks, so the final indexing count is still to come.
  • Meet Tanmay and the rest of the ZNOS AI team.

Frequently asked questions

What does "Crawled, currently not indexed" mean?

It is a Google Search Console status for pages Google has visited but chosen not to keep in its index. On ecommerce stores it often points to thin or near-duplicate content, such as product pages that share the same copy-paste description.

Did the AI employee make up product details?

No. Tanmay wrote each new opening using only facts already present on that product page, and checked that all 73 rewritten pages were live.

Are the 380 pages indexed now?

Not yet confirmed. Google takes a few weeks to re-check pages after validation restarts, so the final count is still coming. The cause has been fixed so the problem does not pile up again.

Who approves what an AI employee publishes?

The founder. Anything posted under the founder's name waits for explicit approval of that exact content; the AI employee drafts, researches and fixes.
